Orlando, FL – September 7, 2019 – Florida’s history is coming back to haunt you as Dark Horizon: Point of No Return makes its debut in Orlando, Florida October 10 – November 2, 2019 with the first-ever West Coast-style pop-up haunt in the East. Those daring enough will have the opportunity to venture through Dark Horizon in hopes of stumbling upon the demented delights brewing within Looter’s Lair, an immersive secret bar inside one of the haunted houses. Guests are encouraged to pique their curiosity, mingle with monsters, and test their boundaries of fear in hopes of discovering the strongest spirits at Dark Horizon to sip on the to-die-for new specialty craft cocktails that only lurk within.

“There will be a secret bar located in one of our haunted houses. Access is only granted to those lucky enough to acquire a vintage gold coin. Everyone is going to want to be in the secret bar - It’s the ultimate immersive bar experience,” hinted Charity Hill, Dark Horizon Executive Co-Producer. “Select cast and crew members throughout the event possess gold coins for the taking. These coins provide a mystifying clue hinting at the location of an access point.”

Guests can gather these elusive coins by interacting with monsters and characters, looking for clues on social media, and even from a Dark Horizon bartender. For those select guests who are able to successfully decode the treachery and trickery laid upon them, Dark Horizon’s secret bar will offer spell-binding specialty cocktails in the ultimate immersive setting.

Private bungalows, patios and not-so-secret bars also offer select specialty cocktails including Black Magic – a mixture of tequila, agave nectar, blackberry liqueur, and lemon juice, located at the Outpost Pub. Try Ship-Faced – Kraken spiced rum mixed with root beer or coke and cherry, on the menu at Walk the Plank Pier, a private section on the Pirate-riddled plan. For those that are really daring, the Looter’s Liar offers Point of No Return – a vodka, gin, tequila based drink mixed with lemon juice, cream soda, and pomegranate juice. VIP guests with access to RIP Lounge can sip specialty classic cocktails including Corpse Reviver #2, Moonshine Tastings, and Maple Old Fashioned Ambler – a flavorful whiskey-based staple with a twist.

For those with more than just a hunger for horror, bungalow menus offer tantalizing table service platters with a variety of enticing options. Head to Gator Grub for selection of BBQ options or work up an appetite for classic American fare at Shark Bites. Antonio’s Pizzeria offers wood-fired, hand-tossed pizzas plus burgers, chicken, and fries; while Sombreros Cantina delights with Latin inspired southwest favorites including tacos, bowls and salads. Guests can take a break from the tricks with treats like crepes, iScream malts and shakes, and terrifyingly delicious sweet treats from Club Candy.

For true haunt-lovers and horror-fans, Dark Horizon’s creative team is offering select guests the unique, exclusive opportunity to Terror-Up. These few, brave attendees will opt-in to a more enhanced experience while going through the Dark Horizon haunted houses, as well as, the entire event itself.

“Terror-up is not for the faint of heart. Those guests that are daring enough to Terror-up with us at Dark Horizon might be separated from their group while inside a haunted house. They could be guided into a dark, secret passageway no other guests have access to. They might get stuck in a small nook or cranny; and, of course, the monsters will be certain to pay extra special attention to them,” shared Steve Sheldon, Dark Horizon Executive Co-Producer. “If at any time the experience is too scary for the guest, they can just simply drop the talisman on the ground and the Terror-Up experience will end.”

Brought to you by the award-winning creators, producers, and directors of one of the most terrifying haunts in the world: The Queen Mary’s Dark Harbor, Dark Horizon emerges in Orlando with much anticipation, to feast upon fears, fray nerves, and curdle the blood of its daring visitors.

Dark Horizon opens its doors on October 10 and continues to scare those who dare on select nights through November 2. General admission ticket prices start at just $20 online with Happy Haunting Hour, Fast Fright, Evil Express, Ultimate Scream tickets and Storm Cellar R.I.P. Lounge keys available.
